A selection of papers presented at the 20th Anniversary of the Annual Scholars’ Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches. The papers came from five countries and covered a wide range of academic disciplines. A study and discussion of the years of the Shoah and the Kirchenkampf, it includes Elie Wiesel’s message pointing up the imperative of asking the questions, of living faithfully and honestly with the central questions of death and life. The volume concludes with Yaffa Eliach’s message which movingly brings those who died into their part in the dialogue.
