The volumes in Michigan Appeals Reports contain the official decisions of the Michigan Court of Appeals, beginning with cases in 1965 when the Court began operating.; The decisions are editorially enhanced with headnotes written by the state Reporter of Decisions office that accurately identifies and explain major points of each case. Each reported decision also includes a syllabus highlighting the procedural history of the case, the majority opinion, and the dissenting or concurring opinion when applicable.; Each bound volume contains:; Cases Decided in the Court of Appeals; Table of Cases Reported; Official text of opinions of the Michigan Court of Appeals; When required, bound volumes will also contain a special orders section.
