These poems explore meaning-making and move through four seasons of the poets life and the lives of those close to him. The first, Khamsin, focuses on fear, conflict, and war. The second, Blast, depicts uneasiness, pain and dysfunctional relationships. Zephyr presents moods of love, reconciliation, and peace. Last, Holy Breath, speaks of spiritual anchoring and religious connections. The four symbolic winds dramatize coming to terms with the other as reflected in national , religious, and interpersonal differences and the conflict that they bring.
